Your questions answered

When is the best time to schedule my maternity session?

Maternity sesions are best scheduled when you are between 32 and 37 weeks pregnant

What is the best age for newborn photos?

The best age for sleepy newborn photos would have to be around day 10-14. Babies at this age are still very sleepy and easy to handle and pose without waking. At this time most mums are starting to feel better and feeding has establised. After 4 weeks of age babies tend to become more alert and aware of their surroundings

My baby is older then the recommended newborn age, can I still have my photos taken?

Of course!  Babies at any age can be photographed.  If you have missed the newborn age of under 3 weeks babies between 4-12+ weeks are still gorgeous and well worth capturing. Babies at this age are more awake and alert but I generally find they have good eye contact and we may even capture some of those first smiles!

Where is your studio located?

Our studio is located in the Melbourne suburb of Doreen - just 26km from the Melbourne CBD and a lovely drive from most areas.

How long do sessions take?

Depending on your type of session they can take between 1-3 hours.  Maternity, baby and families sessions generally take 1 hour while newborns due to feeding and settling I allow 2-3 hours. All sessions are relaxed and there are no time limits so if it takes longer that is fine.

What should I bring and what do I wear?

All sessions include a welcome guide upon booking with information on what to bring, how to prepare and the studio address

Can we purchase Digital Files?

Digital Files are available in all of my collections.  In today's modern world of social media I understand it's important to be able to share your beautiful images with family and friends but believe investing in a professional session should be more then this.  With our technology changing at an alarming rate and our lives busier then ever I take out all the hard work for you and not only include digital files in my collections but beautiful prints and products that will last the test of time while being of the highest quality. Imagine receiving your order and being able to hang that amazing wall art or look through an heirloom album of your baby  - no waiting, no 'will organise that one day' - just enjoy straight away.

Are you vaccinated against Whopping Cough?

Yes I am vacinated against Whopping Cough and my children are all vacinated too. My studio is also fully insured - you can rest assured your baby is in the safest hands.

What happens if we need to reschedule due to illness etc?

If you baby, child or family member is unwell please let our studio know asap so we can reschedule your session.  It is apprecaited if 24 hours or more can be given. Session fee refunds are not available for change of mind but can be transferred to another suitable date.

Do you offer Payment Plans?
